Vegas Vow Renewal for Sylvia (Top Notch Art of Make Up)
There’s something extra magical about a vow renewal- especially when it’s done Vegas-style.
Sylvia (from Top Notch Art of Make Up) and I have worked together for years, so getting to be part of her own celebration felt so special. When she reached out, she told me she’d found her dream dress… but it just wasn’t the right fit. When a gown doesn’t fit properly, it doesn’t matter how beautiful it is on the hanger- you won’t feel like yourself in it.
When the dream dress isn’t fitting like a dream
Sylvia came to me because she wanted to feel confident, comfortable, and completely “her” for this fun vow renewal. She tried a couple of other dresses along the way, but she kept coming back to the one- the dress she originally fell in love with.
So we made it work....
With the right alterations and careful fitting, we were able to transform her dream dress into her dress- one that fit beautifully and moved with her, not against her.
Two dresses. Two moments. One perfect fit.
Because Vegas is all about the extra, Sylvia had two dresses for the day- and I had the absolute joy of fitting both of them.
Each gown had its own vibe (because of course its Vegas baby), and both needed to feel flawless for photos, walking around, and celebrating. By the time we were done, Sylvia looked incredible- and more importantly, she felt incredible.
That’s always the goal: not just a dress that fits, but a dress that lets you relax into the moment and enjoy every second.
What we did to fit those gowns & get that feeling of comfort and beauty:
- added a corset back (white gown)
- fit the bust and added support AKA sewn-in bust cups (white & black gown)
- added a halter strap for extra bust support (black gown)
The Vegas energy was everything
From iconic backdrops to that bold, playful Vegas glow, this vow renewal was pure fun- romantic, stylish, and totally unforgettable. Sylvia’s gowns were perfectly “Vegas,” and seeing her in them- confident and glowing- was the best kind of full-circle moment.
